Subscription boxes are a big thing. This holiday season I have found several that were perfect for our active family as well as gifts for friends and family. One of the subscription boxes I like for myself is an adventure gear box from BivySak.com. They offer a seasonal/quarterly box filled with gear that will help me explore outdoors.
I reached out to the folks at BivySak.com and asked them to send me a box to review. They sent me their Fall 2016 box filled with some great gear. This is what is inside:
Fall 2016 BivySak:
- Fall 2016 product card with information on each of the products and list price
- Nuun Active Electrolyte Supplements – Tri Berry Flavor & Tropical Flavors
- FreshTech Air Lock Bag Sealer powered by Freshe
- 12 Survivor Geodome Camping Lantern
- FRESHeBUDS Bluetooth Wireless Earbuds
- 3 AAA batteries
- Inventor 12Survivors.com sticker
- Information sheets on the Geodome lantern and Nuun supplements
Total Product Value: $112
All the brands in this box were new to me, so I can’t speak to brand recognition. But I was impressed with the quality of products offered at the price point. The retail value of each items ranged from $14-$29.99. Note: each quarter the box contents changes and that price range may change. The website says that box value ranges between $100-$125.
Subscription Cost: Quarterly subscription is $74.97 with free shipping in the US
Features I liked best:
All Natural Food/Supplements
Often times, outdoor food and supplements are filled with chemical preservatives and unnecessary fillers. I loved that this box included all natural
Nuun Active Electrolyte Supplements in two flavors. It’s a green momma’s answer to a sports drink without numbered colors (Red 3, etc.). Looking back at previous boxes, there have been Clif Bars and other snacks to try.
I felt like my curated box was a little like a treasure box. There were a variety of items that I may not of purchased on my own. Now that I have them, I am finding new ways to use them.
The FreshTech Air Lock bag resealer is one of those things. It’s found a permanent home in my kitchen drawer and is being used to reseal opened food bags. It’s USB charger is right next to it.
Each box is different and features items specific to the season. Boxes ship the 15th of March, June, September, and December. If you are looking for a unique way to discover new outdoor gear or a gift for the outdoor person that has every thing, take a look at BivySak.com.
Note: A complimentary gear box was provided for this review. All opinions expressed are my own.
